Growing up in Nineveh in the 1940 and 1950s, as a child Zuhair used to go to this market very early in the morning to avoid the heat of the day.  The seller brings their products by boat or even floating them in nets from the village up the river.  They have to finish and start their journey back by boat or donkey at about 8am because of the temperature.
