Helping the people of Ukraine
Following a meeting of the Events/PR committee, members of the council discussed how as a town we could help the terrible situation that is unfolding in Ukraine. The councillors decided that the most effective action to take is for those that wish to help, to make a financial donation to the appeal that has been launched by the UK's Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC). Any amount you can give will go a
long way to helping those in need. To find out how the DEC is helping and to make a donation, please click here
In addition, the central government has released details on guidance for family members of British nationals, UK-settled persons, and certain others to come to or stay in the UK under the Ukraine Family Scheme.
Buckinghamshire Council has set up a Ukraine Crisis Fund with their partner's Heart of Bucks which allows people to donate money that will directly help Ukrainian families arriving in Buckinghamshire.

The country town of Princes Risborough lies between the Vale of Aylesbury and is regarded by many as the Gateway to the Chilterns. On the route of the pre-Roman Upper Icknield Way and dominated by a chalk hill carving the Whiteleaf Cross, Prince Risborough is a centre for unique events such as the Kop Hill Climb and a popular area for walking and cycling.
