Are you ready for the most wonderful time of the year?
Mark the start of the festive season and join us on Saturday 25th November for Princes Risborough's annual Christmas Lights Switch On event!
Spanning across three hours from 15:00-18:00, the event offers our community and residents from neighbouring villages an opportunity to come together in joyous harmony.
You can expect an afternoon filled with live performances from local acts, themed stilt walkers, festive food and drink vendors, and opportunities to ice skate, meet Santa, and get a bit of early Christmas shopping in with High Street retailers, small businesses, and commercial vendors.
All ages can enjoy an inflatable Snow Globe, perfect for getting that Christmas card photo! Additional music from the Ellesborough Silver Band and the Risborough Ukulele Group will appear along the High Street throughout the afternoon.
Food and refreshments from local vendors will have a vast array to keep you well-fed and watered, including gourmet burgers from Really Good Sausages, Burgers, & BBQ Bites, delicious crepes from local retailer La Crepe Escape, chicken and chorizo paella from Little Urban Chef, Afro-Caribbean food from Divine Meals, woodfired pizza from Farm Slice Pizza, and vegan Indian food.
The festive afternoon is the perfect opportunity for High Street retailers and hospitality, local businesses, organisations, and charities to build their own profiles and raise much needed funds for their own projects.
Within the final hour of the event, our Christmas Lights will be switched on by the Wicked Queen Grimelda from the Aylesbury Waterside Theatre’s pantomime performance of Snow White.
