Risborough Basket Update:
When Princes Risborough Town Council set
up Risborough Basket back in April 2020, there were restrictions on the way we lived and shopped. Risborough Basket was a unique initiative designed to help the traders in and around Princes Risborough to still trade even though they could not be open, and at the same time to allow the residents of Princes
Risborough the opportunity to continue to shop local and keep the pound in the town. The initiative was a huge success, making many
headlines from our regional press, to the House of Commons and both
ITV & BBC local news.
Since the inception of Risborough
Basket, we’ve processed over 5000 orders equating to over
£131,000 in sales to 20
traders.
As things slowly return to normality, the number of orders has reduced significantly over the last few months, and we feel that it
is now time to close the online trading site of Risborough Basket.
