Eunice Clifford

Published: 08 January 2020

It is with sadness that we inform you of the passing of ex Chairman & Town Mayor, Mrs Eunice Clifford.

A born & bred Risborough resident, Eunice was the epitome of "Girl Power" as we know it. A force to be reckoned with (in a good way!), a lady of strong principles who was enigmatic, outspoken & determined and to this day, the only female that has held the post of Town Mayor & Chairman in Princes Risborough.

Eunice was the Chairman of Parks for many years and was an instrumental driving force in creating the play areas and ramps that feature in our parks. A fun loving lady she was also the first person to attempt the zip wire at KGV Park!

Eunice was also the recipient of a Citizen of the Year award at last years Town Council AGM

All are welcome to attend her funeral at Amersham Crematorium, 11.30am on Fri 17th January, followed with a celebration of her life at Risborough golf club. Eunice's family have requested no floral tributes, however, donations can be made to Stokenchurch Dog Rescue or Dementia UK in her memory.

Eunice's colleagues and friends at the Town Council will greatly miss her and our thoughts go to her family at this sad time.
