Whilst out and about in the local area Martin has come across many examples of rural decay - abandoned buildings, machinery and infrastructure. Martin is interested in how they continue to change as they carry on interacting with humans and nature long after their purpose has been realised. The monochrome nature of graphite lends itself well to the atmosphere of abandonment.
